Use memorable keywords so your customers can reach you in seconds
Keywords are a great way to kick-start a conversation with your customers. A memorable and relevant keyword provides existing and potential customers with the simplest way to reach you in seconds.
Easily remembered and simple to set up
Your account has a free keyword included, which you can start using right away. You can also choose to add more personal keywords to your account, such as your business name, or service. For example, you could use “Text PLUMB to 60777” on a poster, van, website or flyer. Many of our customers use different keywords or a sub-keyword to market different services such as “PLUMB DRAIN” or “PLUMB KITCHEN”.
You can also use keywords and sub-keywords to promote competitions or seasonal offers: “Text PIZZA SUMMER to 60777 to see our new summer menu”, or “Text VIP to 60777 to win tickets to our VIP event”.
Your SMS keyword inbox
A new SMS inbox and contact group is created for each keyword on your account. This makes it simple for you to segment your contacts and target them based on their interest or other criteria. In addition, you can apply separate auto-responses, content, frequency and forwarding options on each keyword you use.
Flexible short or long text number options
Keywords can also be applied to dedicated short numbers and shared with long numbers. If you chose to use a dedicated number, you don’t need to use a keyword, as all traffic to this number is directed to your account. However, keywords are a really effective way of running separate promotions, grouping your inbound contacts and measuring the success of your campaigns.
