To provide a better service to students and members by reducing the number of emails we send (as everyone is bombarded with these!), and to improve the click through rate against what could have been achieved with an email.
The service is used to send messages to students and members to remind them about upcoming deadlines (for example, subscription fee payments, or exam entry), to inform them about changes in exam centre venues, and to invite them to events.
The CIMA website was not optimised for mobile devices, so the ability to create free mobile pages to attach to outgoing messages was very useful. Having used several other companies for SMS who did not offer this facility, CIMA was very pleased with this service.
A recent send to students and members had an excellent click through rate of 10% for the mobile page, over half the average click through rate for email campaigns.
At first I was nervous about using the self-service platform, as I’d never done it this way before, but now I love it!
