So I’ve been chatting to Guy Griffiths, Marketing Manager of Fitspace Gyms and Textlocal customer this week – and what a lovely chap he is!
We wanted to know from Guy how SMS has worked for Fitspace and whether he feels that SMS has delivered tangible results – and we’re pleased to report back that his answer was a resounding ‘yes’!
Guy explained that Fitspace use SMS as a promo tool – converting potential customers and welcoming back lapsed customers to a new membership by sending a simple text. These can include discounts and special offers to encourage take-up.
Not wanting to stop there, Guy tells me that he has also made use of our Surveys and Forms tool to find out what gym members’ fitness goals were. The survey text was sent to 26,000 members, with a stonking 1,500 responses – much higher than the average email or DM campaign would deliver, and fully trackable via our Messenger platform.
Using Textlocal has meant that Fitspace have enjoyed 6% response/completion rates on survey – outperforming their previous activity.
Guy also reported that a text sent across one weekend encouraged 55 new members to sign up to Fitspace and that within 5 minutes of the text being sent, a new member had signed up. If that doesn’t impress you, we’re not sure what will?
And so, Guy tells us that he is happy that Textlocal is working for Fitspace and we’re happy that Guy is happy! With all this talk of healthy living, I said my thanks to Guy for his time and headed off in pursuit of a salad….one step at a time 🙂
