With more companies investing in SMS marketing than ever before, users of the platform must come across as unique in order to stand out from the crowd.
That’s the view of Matt Baglia, a digital marketing expert who used his latest post at business2community.com to help companies find their feet with advertising via SMS.
In a series of tips for getting starting with direct messaging, companies were told to inject originality into their work to avoid slipping into obscurity.
Mr Baglia said there are now thousands of companies now using SMS marketing services and, in advice for businesses using the platform, “you don’t want to get lost in those numbers.”

Mr Baglia said knowing an audience also helps in SMS marketing, as building a personal relationship with a customer is one of the best ways to turn them into a loyal follower of the brand.
This allows the company to personalise their messages and cater for their audience’s interests.
