1. The only text service I would ever use!

I have been using TXTlocal for some 2 - 3 years now and have found their service unbeatable. The website is so easy to use, even for a novice like myself. My customers love the messaging service too. All in all, a very happy customer. Thanks TxtLocal and keep up the great work.

We signed up to text local recently as a solution for our school IT department. We found the interface on text local so intuitive and user friendly that we are now making plans to switch our text a parent service over to text local in the new school year.

Been using text local for over 2 years, the best thing we as a community group have done for communicating with our clients. With one button we are in touch with over 250 people. Easy to buy credits and it tells you where and when you're sending text. If I had any feedback it would be to add more than 160 letters.

I'm really happy with the service text local provides. It's really easy to set up inboxes, uploading names and numbers, tailor all SMS to my different participants; I don't know what I'd do without it! Also, the team are really helpful whenever I have a query, and have helped me out when I made a couple of mistakes with my keywords. The only thing I'd change is to be able to receive replies to my named inbox, as the choice I have at the moment is between texting as an 11 digital mobile number and a named number.

We use Textlocal for several years now and they have never let us down. Delivery is speedy and reliable, also to cell numbers abroad. Their querying tools allow for easy analysis - which numbers received most of the traffic, and on which days was traffic most intense? Overall a good experience, good website, great support.

I'm new to the bulk texting game and had a really useful chat with their customer service who recommended all sorts of ways to do more things with their service. everything has worked fine so far - it's a great system they have set up. I think one of the best things is that you can interact with the texting service via your email - which makes things very interesting for getting a mass text out when you only have your mobile handy.

Shopped around a bit and was recommended to try TextLocal. Setiing up and scheduling my messaging ahead of my event was made very easy and means that I will have one less thing to worry about on the day! Since signing up I have discovered further functionality which will be a big benefit to my business in the future and I look forward to making more use of the tools available to me.

I have been using Textlocal for more than a year. Textlocal is integrated with my website using their API so the system automatically sends out text alerts when new orders arrive. Conclusion: It simply just works and I can highly recommend it!

We use this as a tool to communicate with out customers. It gives us the ability to keep them in the loop constantly with what is happening on a specific job and how we are going about getting them up and running again. We used to use an alternate provider but with TextLocal we are able to measure ourselves better and report on what sms coverage is and reach! Giving us a good effectiveness report! We would definitely recommend this product to any of our customers as well as any other Managed service Provider.

I have found text local very simple and easy to use. It is one of those products that does what it says it does unlike other companies. Very competive price the one thing i found useful was that they have a feature which allows you to build a mobile web page inside the program so even though your text message is good to keep short and sweet people can be directed to it so you can go into as much detail as you want about your product. Also there is a very handy stats feature

We were being ripped of by our software provider nearly 12p an sms, we asked them to give us the opportunity to use a third party company to lower our bills and they did not want to comply. After a quick google search we found text local. We found their website extremely easy to use and more than helpful for configuring api's and more. We are extremely happy with the service and would definitely recommend to other companies to use for their bulk texting requirements.

This service is excellent in the way it allows you to descreatly contact customers without the need to disturb them in there day-to-day job. As we need to contact customers in work time it proves a valuable tool to inform the customers of pickup and colelction times. In addition to this we really like the idea of templates, these templates allow us to quickly and effeciently send different texts in different situations without the need to completly write out a new text message. It is also saves us time and therfore money as we do not have to have lengthy conversations with the customers. Another great feature of the text local service is the ability to track messages and check to what number they have been sent and when including the message sent. Overall a great tool for the service we provide, it has made life much easier for myself and all my work colleges.

The text local service is excellent and met my needs. I need to send regular short, call to action text to the whole of my team, over 90 employees and the 'text local' service did just that. I was able to send a text too all the team in one quick click. The system also lets me send texts to the individual departments instead of the whole team, this is an excellent option. The set up and number import is very easy especially if you are uploading loads of numbers which I was, you can add first and surnames very easily. Buying extra credit is very quick and easy. The only small down side was the 160 max character per message, but not to much of a problem if send just a quick call to action message.

Fantastic Service. Using my account to send email to SMS from a third party application - to send security camera notifications from my camera to SMS. Account became tied to a second user. Sent email explaining problem and also phoned. Whole thing sorted out very swiftly and with courtesy and humour. I was very, very impressed.

Great! really easy way for our technician to txt customers when doing call backs and they do not answer the phone. just pop in a simple template asking the customer to call back if they still need help with the reference number and hey presto a record of customer contact. Also add the web site to the end of the text to increase a bit of traffic. Cheaper than the O2 service we had with more functions. I would like to have more characters for the sender buy hey you can not have everything. Already our customers are saying we got the txt sorry we missed you! great customer service tool.

Very very simple to use, super easy to import contacts from an excel spreadsheet. Makes it super easy to send messages out to the groups you can set up, even personalising each message with fields from the contact lists. So easy to send a message, reports are great for catching the people on your list with incorrect old numbers. The android app is a free download companion, works well, it could have more features, but its early days for the app. Overall excellent.

We have used Textlocal for a number of years; it's a great way to communicate messages to our customers instantly and they immediately know who the message is from because it shows our name rather than a number. The report facility also provides proof of delivery so we know our message has been read. Excellent!

We have found this service invaluable for communicating with our customers. We are able to inform them when their item is ready for pick up without having to engage in lengthy time consuming conversations (we do that anyway when they come in). Also most people are very busy and are not always available to answer their phone so texting them asking them to contact us when they are free is easier than leaving them a voice message and a text is a reminder to call us. Also if they call us back it saves on our phone bill(cheeky I know). All in all an easy to use and efficient service

Easy as 123 up and running in minutes. We use Constant Contact for email campaigns which is not the easiest web base app to use. Text Local is a mere walk in the park and a pleasure to use. If only more interactive sites cold be as intuitive. Well done and thanks. Cheers Brian

We have been using Text Local for over a year and are still amazed by its functionality. We originally started using it for one of our five departments, but have subsequently rolled it out across the whole company. It has a fantastic combination of complex functionality and simple interface. The Text Local staff are always on hand to help with any issues, and are happy to look into optimising the functionality of our account. To be able to maintain constant contact with our existing clients through the alternative platform of SMS messaging has really helped develop our customer service handling over the past year and with the ability to be able integrate it with some of our most used databases through API messaging has resulted in higher customer contact volumes for minimal input.

A fantastic way to send texts to multiple customers. I've been using the service to tell my customers of clearance stock and It's helped me shift a lot of product! It's simple to upload a list of customers names and phone numbers straight from a excel file. You can also oranise customers into groups so you can target the right product to the right customer. Very happy and would recomend to others.

I am a software developer and have recently developed a new web based recruitment software solution that allows recruiters to manage candidates vacancies and job applications online. Aside from the normal email functionality, the system had to provide a more direct method of allowing recruiters to reach their candidate's quickly and reliably. I began searching for an SMS text messaging provider that offered an API (Application Programming Interface) which would allow my application to send messages out directly - This is when I discovered Textlocal. The thing that has impressed me the most is their fully documented and extremely easy to use messaging gateway. I am a fairly experienced programmer and was able to integrate Textlocal with my recruitment application in about a day using the .Net Framework. So far, I have have no problems with the service and I would highly recommend Textlocal to anyone looking to integrate SMS functionality with their own business applications. The price of SMS credits is very competitive and I am sure that the feature will prove very popular.

Only started using Textlocal this week. It is straightforward, intuitive and a massive labour saving system. We work with lots of families all around the UK and the hours we used to spend on keeping in contact and getting answers from them doesn't even bear thinking about. But now with the very simple group management system we know what our host families are up to within minutes of sending out a message. I sent one to 117 hosts about 15 minutes ago - already more than half have replied, and now I can export the list of replies and send them on to colleagues to deal with. A breeze!

We recently started using the Text Local service in our salon to send our clients a daily appointment confirmation texts. We were going to trial this service for one month but within 4 days of reminders we had already recouped £112.00 in what would have been lost appointments! Life is fast paced and people forget appointments when they booked them 6 weeks ago or incorrectly entered the date and time into their phone when leaving previously. This simple and affordable (We only need to save one Cut and Blowdry appointment in a month and it has paid for itself) service has really helped to improve our booking system, the template maker and scheduling option makes it quick and convenient to send your text messages when its easiest for you. We have even found the option of bulk texts to specific client groups a valuable marketing tool for those quick promotions on quieter days, I have really noticed that a small percentage of people check their email constantly, most Im sure just leave it until the evening when they get home, but nearly everyone checks their text messages as soon as they get one so they can respond to promotions quickly. Overall I am very happy with what the Text Local service has brought to our business as Im sure you will agree every extra step you take helps your business stand out from your competition.

My company, United Protection UK this year has recently undergone a technology overhaul and we thought what better way to contact our employees by than SMS. We will utilise this service in giving them information on festival seasons. I had been looking for a group messaging service like Text Local for a good while and I was so surprised I had never come across it before. It's so reliable and simple to use. I like the fact I can separate messaging groups and choose a different message name for different groups. This is ideal for those running sports clubs like myself. There is also an option for people to reply to your message. It is an inexpensive system that would definitely benefit any person or business.

We are reletively new to Textlocal and originally bought in to the service to have an accessible way to contact staff in case of an urgent office closure (ie. heqavy snow) but have already found multiple uses for the service, both currently and in the future. Everyone I show can find a new way to use it! I find the site very intuitive and once you have used it a few times, it's simple to show others how to use. Even if you can't find what you are looking for, the online help are super quick at answering any questions which means you can get on with your job.

Used this service for the first time yesterday to send out information on an event to a batch of clients. Adding credit was easy and rapid. I also really liked the features that allowed you to create different groups but also let you manage your selections within the group when time came to send the sms messages. Most importantly once the sms messages were sent they delivered to the recipients almost immediately. I would have no hesitation recommending this service to others based on its efficiency and pricing.

My use of Txtlocal is pretty simplistic, I get emailed when things go wrong at work, using email and a data tariff doesn't give me the coverage I need to be able to enjoy my weekend without worrying about work. In the good old days email to sms was an automatic feature for mobile network providers, his isn't the case any more, and Txtlocal fills the gap nicely. Really simple to set up, simple to use, clear billing and usage so I know what I've spent money on and easy payment options.

After testing cheaper providers we eventually picked textlocal for our monthly meeting reminders. Using textlocal seems to be a lot quicker and more reliable. The e-mail to SMS is fantastic which will tie in nicely with our website. They rang a day or so after signing up to make sure we were able to use the system and if we needed any help. They really look after you.

We are an independent debt and benefits advice charity and we use text local daily to help make communication with our clients easier. Every appointment made is confirmed with a text using Text Local and the day before the appointment the client is sent a reminder. This is DEAD easy to do using the Text Local system. Also, for many clients, text is their preferred means of communication. For us its as simple as sending an e-mail and we get a firm record that the text is sent. We would love a dedicated text number but this is cost prohibitive for us at the moment but the system we have is good, but a dedicated number would be better. The cost of the text's are OK and the service from the Text Local team has been excellent. I have no hesitation in recommending this product.

Were using this service to send customers text messages to let them know when their computers are repaired to cut down on phone costs and the time wasted when there is nobody to answer the call, the service works a treat, and even logs everything for ourselves.

We have been using TextLocalon a regular basis(upto once a week) for the last 2yrs now. The log in is straightforward, the layout of the account and navigation is simple, the reports are clear. As someone who is not very tech savvy I found this very straightforward and have no hesitation to use it at all. I have to say the real bonus with this service is the Helpdesk team. They help me if I get stuck and have it all solved in an instant. Responses are fast and always happy and helpful. I really recommend TextLocal to any business.

Just sent our first batch of texts.. With in seconds we had a reply.. People at Text Local couldn't have been any easier to deal with. The service is an easy way to reach your customers, enabling you to target the people who want to use your product. It can appear a little daunting at first but with the free texts you are given and the online help along with the personal phone calls you will receive the whole process was very easy to carry out. We will now be having a look at the on line tutorials to see if text local can help maximise our business's sales in what are difficult times. Depending on the subsequent response we get from the texts once we will be using the service again in the future.

Text local is a fab way communicating with our club members when we need to contact people quickly esp as the majority of people we work with dont have regular access to a computer. It is also ideal not having to use personal mobile numbers. We use the individual and group contact options regularly - only suggestion would be the ability to select more than one group to send the same message rather than having to do each group individually. Sometimes we need a message to go out to some, but not all of our contacts. Apart from that, it is great! (And love that it doesnt let you duplicate numbers - and that you can import from spreadsheets!) Am sure we could use the service even more efficiently but does exactly what we need it to!

Txtlocal is a major component of our Medical Alert business and it was easier to integrate and maintain than I could have hoped for. Not only were we able to utilize the API to send a message by return to the originating mobile number but we were able to sent additional message to pre-defined next of kin making our service totally unique and in our opinion the best value Medical Alert bracelet available today. Great value and great support.

I have used text local for a few years although I am a duffer with technology I find this system easy to use. It certainly beats trying to tap out texts on tiny mobile keys.

We use textlocal to provide a text mechanic for a long running radio campaign for our private weight loss clinic. The customer service is extraordinarily good. Tech support is excellent, sales team know what they are talking about and the service is super reliable. 10/10 from us.

Excellent package - however i think it is very expensive purchasing a reply number. Other than that it is very easy to use and does exactly what i need it to do. Only found one problem so far and that is txtlocal has said a message was delivered but it still has not been received by the recipient. Resent the message and it again says delivered but not received again by recepient.

Found the service really easy to use. Our key purpose was for incoming messages initially - i.e. a way of capturing votes from twitter and SMS. Setting up the service including integrating with our web site took less than a day. The code examples that you can copy and paste worked pretty much straight off the page. The control centre that shows you what's happening is great, as is the email we get for each incoming message - means that we have some extra verification that the service is working fine. I would thoroughly recommend it.

I have been researching a business idea that would involve sending out thousands of text messages to different businesses sectors and was looking for a provider that could handle this for me. I am a technophobic, despite having a couple of internet businesses and I was getting a little bogged down with the jargon, short codes, long codes QR codes etc etc. I knew what I wanted to do but couldn't quite get my head round the mechanics of it all. Fortunately I came across Textlocal texting service on the internet. I sent my questions off and got an almost immediate reply that actually addressed my queries. Not a canned type e-mail that does not come close to answering the question, but a real person. I've used their customer service dept a couple of times now and the response is brilliant. If the rest of the company is half as good, I will be well chuffed and I wont be looking any further for my provider. What a refreshing change. Well done you Guys. Give that lady a pay rise !!

We operate a large fleet of buses on 24 different routes. By using Text Local we can keep our customers right up to date when (without notice) the utility companies decide to close a road and we have to divirt the service or the buses are running late. Text Local really did shine last winter when we had so many delays caused by bad weather. The service is easy to use and ultra efficient ana brilliant Customer Service tool. Well done!

Signed up with txtlocal a few years ago and I am very pleased with the service. The text costs are very reasonable and the ability to compose a message on your pc without having to fumble around with a mobile handset is absolute joy. Set up my website, thought it would be a good idea to have a box so any messages on the site go to my mobile. So i set it up with the support of Andy (Amazingly Useful) but i had a problem that my messages didn't send properly. So i told him the problem, left the problem at his end for a while and soon enough, he told me what was wrong. I liked the fact the service he's given me was all quick replies, no problems and instant respect when he told me the problem. I want to put a GREAT BIG WORD out for Andy D. You can build your own mobile landing page for free and attach it to your SMS texts - so I send my pubs Specials Board out each week. Awesome.

We have been using Textlocal for several years now, having sent over 350,000 messages through their gateway I could not be happier with their service. For programmers of every sort out there, the API framework they have in place is as simple as you would expect, also offering great flexibility. For the less technical Textlocal have possibly the best dashboard / workbench I have ever come across in a website. The main factors for us are: Quality of Service (Network) Customer Service Price In our entire time with TextLocal we have only ever had one issue, and this was the fault of Vodafone. Basically the network forgot to send the delivery reports. The technical team at TextLocal helped by postponing the remaining messages until Vodafone had resolved their issue, and they credited us for the few messages that got though, all in all a nothing issue but the only one we have ever experienced. Customer service is key to the success of any business and I personally feel this combined with a superb network is why TextLocal has grown so much and maintained its integrity as it has done so. Due to a lack of issues we have not had much need to contact the support team, other than to clarify new options within the service. They have always been friendly helpful and knowledgeable. (one day we will catch them out). On the other hand we contact the accounts team at least once a month to buy credits. Though the whole team is friendly and helpful there is one true star, Susie Jump. She is possibly the most efficient accounts person you will come across. No matter if you want an invoice to pay for credits against, check the progress of something or you have done something silly (Like put the wrong reference on a BACS payment - oppps) she takes it all in her stride and deals with the issues very quickly. Finally we look at the price. "if you do get quoted a lower price elsewhere, then please call the Textlocal Customer Care Team on 0845 009 3180 and we'll endeavour to at least match it or in most cases beat it." What more can I say! We are loyal customers of TXTLocal and will continue to be so for many years to come, it does not matter if your reminding people about their haircut or selling Pizza this service can really help you reduce failed appointments or sell more of an offer. If in doubt just try it out.

I use this for sending personal emails. It is convenient, fast, reliable, allows for records of all emails sent. I think it is a very convenient service for my purposes and I would highly recommend it to anyone. Prices are about 5 cents per text so cheaper than typical pay as you go mobile texts. I send almost all my texts from here.

We use txtlocal to communicate with all our staff. We run a successful cleaning company and most of our staff work nights and therefore we generally cannot contact them during the day. However to ensure any messages get to them we text them. We used to manually text on a phone. A complete nightmare. We use the email to text service and it is great.

We are a beauty salon and use text marketing as a service to promote out business services - Text is a great way to contact people and send them promotions we have on offer - Using a tool such as text local is easy to use and can be used by our reception staff - We like the fact the interface is clear and inituative and that it links to Facebook and twitter! One improvement i would like to see is a mobile phone number validation as the system will charge for sending inaccurate numbers.

I love the fact that you can schedule texts and send them from any internet accessable hardware, this make communication complete, worldwide and constant. We use text local to oranginse our childrens football team events. It can be difficult to send emails out to parents as they aren't always read them in time. However texts are great as people read them as soon as they get them (most of the time). The system is easy to use and we had it up and running in less than 30 minutes. Have just incorporated textlocal into one of web applications to allow has to send and recieve text messages automtically. Great development support documentation and examples on line, costs and options clearly set-out online making it easily evaluate different options available. The 10 free texts they provided on account creation was all that was needed to get me going. Great proactive support, they rang me 2 days after setting up to see how I was getting on, haven't had to refer to them as it's all online. Spot on! Can't comment too much on price but they are currently offering to match others so you can't loose.

TextLocal offers a simple website which is very well laid out and easy to navigate your way around. You can quickly find what you are looking for and discover how easy and low cost it is to put together a bulk SMS (text) messaging service from the Web to the mobile phones of your customers, employees or other groups. As a developer I found that the API offered by TextLocal is the easiest and fastest to put together into my own applications, with excellent online documentation and when you have read through and signed up they give you 10 free credits to prove how great and easy the system is. Since being a TextLocal member they have improved the website even more and now allow you to store your customer data on the system at no extra cost, simply buy which ever low cost credit bundle you want. And I checked out some of the competition; their prices are higher, bundles are not as flexible and their APIs will take months to remould into a desired web application. If you want to seamlessly reach customers, staff or other groups through text messaging TextLocal is the way forward and it doesn't have to cost much at all!

I use Textlocal to send out information and reminders to the parents in our Scout Group. It's easy to use and great value. Text messages seem to have more effect than emailing, and definitely more than giving a piece of paper to a child to crumple up in their pocket and forget to give to their parents! It's much easier than phoning if you need to get the same message to lots of people at the same time, such as when there's a change of plan or to let people know when we're back fromk a trip or camp. I haven't yet used all of the features but I'm sure they will be useful.

I started a free trial with text local i new that i would use the service once my trial period was up. The interface text local provides is really easy to navigate through so even for the less tech savvy people, using this service is a doddle. I love the idea that you can change the sender name at any point also it works on a "pay and go" kind of way so you are not tied into a lengthy contract. This makes it so much easier if you do not plan on sending out mass marketing messages all of the time. This was really ideal for the company i work in as we only host events every 3 months or so. Definetly check out text local, what's to lose when you have a free trial?

I have really enjoyed using the textlocal service, which was a great surprise to me as other alternatives that I've used have been cumbersome and unreliable. The interface is very user friends, with great guides and explanations helping new users get to grips with the detail. Credits update very rapidly. I'm able to access the portal from mobile + other devices, and as long as the contact group has already been created, sending messages to 100's/1000's of customers is an absolute breeze.

I have tried using other texting systems to keep in contact with my customers and they aren't any where near as good. My texts are delivered in seconds and I never have any issues. The mobile page creator is simple and easy to use and I cant wait to roll our new page out. The TextLocal website is easy to use and doesnt require a wealth of technical knowledge to send out campaigns and set everything up. The returns I am seeing is great and with the low cost per text I can keep in contact with all my customers and notify them immediately of any new products we have. Truly a great product to have at my availability.

This service is really easy to implement on a number of platforms. I have used this company to develop solutions for a number of my clients. I am currently using the service to implement a solution for a utility company with millions of customers. The app runs from a database and makes the calls without any problems. As far as the user is concerned this is a tool from the utility. Probably the best feature is the cost to setup. When I first started using this, the implementation cost was almost nil. As a small development company, high implementation costs for a proof of concept is a tough call. With txtlocal, the cost wasn't an issue and therefore the proof was easy to show. The only downside, is that I can't send automated payments to ensure that the account remains topped up based on a threshold.

We run communication campaigns for lots of varied clients, using all kinds of varied methods. SMS, Email, Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Pinterest, in print and even face to face. What we like about TextLocal is the ease of use of the portal, the free add-on functionality that goes with it, including SMS to Email and Email to SMS, which enables us to do some pretty imaginative stuff, and the telephone support. Having a QR generator with the campaigns is really useful too. We are going to test out the mobile landing pages next. The calls we've made have all been answered promptly, and on the one occasion that they couldn't answer straight away, the guy called me back within a few minutes and took the time to explain what I needed to do. If you are considering comparing Textlocal on messaging costs alone, I would suggest using these guys first before going to the cheaper 'per message' providers, as they all have at least some key functionality missing, or lots of hidden costs for the basics that Textlocal gives you for free.

Having used other text sites, for business, then discovered this one I moved our work account here as well as setting up a personal account. It was so easy to set up an account and the site is so intuitive to use. I even schedule texts to be sent at pre arranged times. Including reminders to myself about the car MOTs etc. And at 4.9p a text it is great value for money. Setting up the contacts is truly a doddle! I even have set up mobile pages and emailed them out to friends and contacts, personalising them with their details as I go - "look at me". Seriously - if you need online texting this is the easiest option - great features, great website and great communication. I would be happy to chat with anyone regarding this great facility - and no I am not employed by them LOL. I works as a Marketing Manager!

Textlocal allows us to quickly keep our customers aware of updates and offers that we supply. I have tried a few alternative services on a trial basis but none can come close to Textlocal.

We have been useing texlocal for some time now, and find that our clients are meeting with us on time, they pay us on time through payment remiders set for the 25th of every month. Its great to use the calander for staff reminders for training, and locations they need to be at on a selected day. This take the stress of chasing staff to find out if they got that little peice of paper with please be at.... type stress. The short code is great as we can offer clients offers who can only see it via our facebook page.

I use textlocal for my marketing campaigns and it is such an easy way to contact lots of people at once and generates an immediate response. No sooner do I press the send message button than my phone rings! Yesterday I booked 2 appointments from call backs. These were potential customers whom I've tried to phone repeatedly with no success. Everyone has a mobile nowadays and this way, even if they don't phone back immediately, they have our details to hand for future use. It is an inexpensive and effective way to stay in touch with former members as well as potential, yet elusive, customers! I highly recommend it.

I used TxtLocal to arrange my brither's stag night. It was brilliant, personalisation meant everyone felt part of the action, with the list feature allowing me to record who was a YES I'm coming and who was a NO. I could then tailor the messages to each group, either providing more info on where to meet and how to pay, or what we are doing and where we might meet up after the weekend. The interface is very easy and intuitive to use, and topping up with credit is painless too! All in all it made my task so very much easier and meant I was on top of everything and able to enjoy everything that was going on! One less thing to worry about. With 50 or so names on the first list, keeping track of everything without TxtLocal would have been almost impossible!

I have now been using Txtlocal for about the past 15 months for my Boys' Brigade Coy. These days everyone has a mobile 'phone and is virtually married to it - 'what better way to keep in touch with parents', I thought. Searching the internet, I found Txtlocal. They sounded like they did what I wanted, so I registered with them, and haven't looked back. I have had no problem with their service and would recommend them without hesitation. If there are any other Boys' brigade Coy.s, Boy Scouts, Girl Guides or the like who find that their printed notices are not getting the word out, I can recommend you try Txtlocal. In fact, if there is more information than you can really put in a text, I send e-mail every parent and after the e-mail has gone out, I use Txtlocal to tell them that they have an e-mail, and to check it out. I have been using text local for several years now. An innovative company with vision, always improving on the services they provide and most importantly, LISTENING to the people who count! Us! The people who use their services every day. Their customer service is amazing, from basic text to advanced marketing, they will guide you through the whole process. So, if you are a novice, start here! We are a small business, we do not have "professionals" in every sphere of business. We rely on the professionalism & help of outside companies to help us achieve results, at the same time, we demand value for money & of course, to be treated the same way as companies with a much larger budget. We were able to try the service without any huge commitment. The control panel is easy to use and you always know how much you are spending before you have spent it. No surprises. We use it for a myriad types of communication: internal staff, special offer to members, reminders (the scheduling option is fab!) and of course, it is more cost efficient to text overseas (or local when I am overseas!) mobile numbers.

We can inform a customer in seconds and do not have to rely on them being near their phone at that precise moment, especially handy when people are at work and can not always be available. At last a means of communicating short snappy messages to parents that they read straight away! Gets an immediate response every time without cutting down a rain forest. The dashboard is easy to navigate and buying credits is simple. Haven't found anything about the system that isn't easy to use yet. If I had to complain about anything then the only thing I could fault is the number of characters available for the senders title (but that's just being really picky!)

I have been using their excellent service for some time now. From day one, everything was straight forward, and did the job, without anything too complicated - and yet dig deeper, and they have an excellent API - which was just what I was looking for. I wrote a simple 'reminder service' web application and needed the ability for my program to send text messages to various mobile phones. Quite a few SMS gateway services required you to purchase hundreds of SMS credits at a time but I only needed a few hundred each year. TextLocal allows you to buy as few as 100 credits for less than £7 including VAT, which means anyone can afford to use them. Their simple user interface, clear instructions and helpful customer service staff allowed me to get the SMS functionality of my application up and running in under an hour. I couldn't ask for more, but TextLocal offer so many more services that I can't think of any reason to change to another company. I am very happy with my purchase and the service TextLocal offer.

I have been a customer of text local for several years and more recently utilising on behalf of a national company. This has proved the best discovery for messaging, having had experience of much inferior versions before I found text local. Going from small use to a higher scale use more recently - the tools available make this easy and practical with an excellent reporting system to analyse stats. I also need to retain evidence of messaging sent - no problem with the facilities available. I love being able to pre-schedule messages to go out saving time and good for organising in advance. For standard messages going out frequently, the template facility makes this a doddle. Good and easy to use facilities for creating contact groups and storing customer contact data which can be manipulated to select or de-select specific customers. Text local are genuinely responsive to any recommendations to improve any aspect of their system where they can. Having recently needed a little help from the back room boys - they were excellent in responding - nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend the system and above all the team behind the company - its the latter that makes this organisation great to deal with.

Textlocal definately deserve a write up. They have been great for our business, automatically notifying our clients by text message of the availability of updated data on our server usin an automated script running on our server! The web interface is very easy to use and I have also used it to send cheap 4p texts when on holiday in Mexico to save myself over 30p a text - but don't tell the boss ;-) There are many features such as return paths for texts, and bulk sending to groups which we don't use, but I'm sure that if it involves SMS messaging, you can do it with TextLocal A great and very cost effective service!

Text Local is a bulk text messaging service which lets you sent the same message to multiple recipients with no hassle and in no time. Simple set up your contacts and write your message. The service comes with two basic reply options one 1. The usual text "xxx" to a number and the slightly more expensive but more useful 2. Reply service which means your clients can reply in the normal fashion. Costs is less than 5p a message. One feature I like and use a lot is the ability to schedule messages to a specific time and date. This can be a real boon for reminders and updates to a client base. Cheap, efficient, very useful.

The API was easy to access programmatically and has not failed once in over a year. I have also used the system to produce several tested/mockups for clients and it's always been easy to use and a cost effective option. I have been using textlocal for several years now, since 2008 I believe. Throughout that time they have been continuously extending and improving their range of services. Truth is, their improvements have been wasted on me as I only use their core functionality, which for me is automatically sending "admin help request" type texts from software running on my servers. It's very easy to send texts to any mobile phone using a simple web request to textlocal's server. For my purposes textlocal are faultless, I couldn't be happier with them.

By far the best provider of bulk messaging for my business, simple and easy to use control panels and a clear message that txt local care about their customer experiences from the continued development in improving the service experience. Accounts are easy to credit and control and contacts are easy to import and update. There are lots and lots of features that mean I can do pretty much what I want to do in terms of text marketing and group customer messages. There are also no time limits on credit like with other suppliers, so the credits you buy are yours to use in your own time and your not dictated to that you have to use them with-in a certain timeframe or lose them. TXT local gets a AAA+++ rating from me.

System itself and API are very easy to use. Customer service is excellent, both responsive and friendly. We integrate TextLocal into our EPOS by using the email-SMS functionality to communicate with customers. Nothing to dislike, really. The pricing doesn't scale super well unless you need trillions of messages, which is a shame but I suppose a limitation of their carrier volume pricing. Overall I heartily recommend them for all your business needs. We have yet to be disappointed.

Our best service provider (after our therapists of course!) We have used TextLocal for over one year now as a core part of our business. I can genuinely say this is one of the best customer service companies I have ever used. The technology works well, the user interface is clear and simple, there are useful developments (eg server upgrades, MMS sending, Simply Reply - all in one year), when we have experienced any issues (minor ones) the response rate and quality from the Technical team was nothing short of astounding ... to be honest we couldn't really ask for more! The only hope we have is an overall reduction in cost of sending SMSs to match the charges experienced in the retail market nowadays. Having said that, TextLocal are very well priced compared to the other SMS gateway providers, so this is less a point about TextLocal more about the whole SMS gateway industry hopefully at some stage reflecting the current costs in sending for example retail SMS. Communicating with members is very important for any sports club and for a volunteer run club it needs to be quick and easy. Since we adopted text messaging we've had a much better response to events and it has proved to be a more reliable method than email. The members like it and feel engaged by the club. We like it because it boosts attendance at events and can accommodate last minute changes. If your membership communication strategy doesn't include the text message you are missing out: Text, Email, Twitter...you need all three, and textlocal makes it easy.

We first started using the service when bad weather meant we had to keep closing our school. We tried using email and Facebook to inform students, which worked to some degree, but wasn't really instant enough. After some research, we found Text Local and trialled it. We have never looked back. Not only was it the perfect solution for our original reason for signing up, but we have found so many other uses for the service since. The way that the service integrates with our e-mail client is fantastic as we can simply reply to a text like an e-mail. We can also communicate with groups of people via the easy-to-use web interface. we have also purchased a dedicated text number which our students can use to text us which is brilliant. We use text local simply as a communication tool to our students, but there is so much more that you can do with it for marketing purposes etc. I cannot recommend text local enough. I don't usually write reviews, because I expect good service and if I don't get it I vote with my feet, but Text Local has been so good for our business that I do want to make others aware! The user interface is simplicity its self, and although we primarily use the SMS gateway to send text messages to our customers when our server updates their data (this is triggered automatically using a sript from our server), I have also used it when on holiday in Mexico to send 4p texts instead of the 30p+ it would otherwise cost ;-) There are many powerful features (like return paths for messages and bulk txt sending to groups) which we don't use, but I'm sure that anything you'd want to do with a text messag can be done through Text Local!

I've always found TxtLocal to be a simple, user friendly service. They email you when your credit is running low, so there are no nasty surprises, and their SMS rates are pretty favourable. Text local has proven to be a fantastic and flexible SMS service, we have foumd that they provide a superior service to that of it's competitors and text credits are competively priced. They seem to constantly be coming up with ideas on how to improve the service, it is easy to save templates for texts that we send on a regular basis and although we do limited text marketing, I can see how it would be relitively easy to load marketing campaigns and store different customer databases. You also have the option to link the service to your social media accounts so you can publish any marketing campaigns you do really easiliy. You can create contacts and store multiple details so that you texts can address the customer appropriately. Overall I would definately recommend text local to anyone looking to set up an SMS or text marketing account, as I mentioned, I have found the service to be fantastic and I look forward to seeing how the service gets even better in the future!

We have been using TXT Local since we launched our first internal CRM system managing tenants. The basic connection interface for sending an SMS is dead simple and it took only a few days to get everything up and running and tested. The two most important criteria aspects for us are: * Reliable API (One that doesn't keep changing and requiring code changes on our end) * Reliable throughput (No messages get dropped) * Reliable service (We have never had difficulty sending the messages or received a http 500 error when using their interface) * Consistent reliability (We are still using software that dates back to 2007 and it works flawlessly). Would definitely recommend from both a cost and software development perspective.

Senta Hosting has been using Textlocal since October 2011 and we have never been let down. We have been using their fantastic easy to use API to let our clients know about important changes to our website, let them know when invoices are due and also let them pay via SMS. When my wife's dance school needs to let everybody know something, we have a few options: letter to the parents? The kids don't take them home. Facebook? Email? If they don't log in they don't see the message. The only reliable guaranteed way of getting the info seen by the customer is SMS as no matter where they are, they will have their mobile with them. We were searching for a bulk text messaging supplier and Txt Local was exacly what we were looking for. They do exactly what it says on the tin, at a competitive price! The layout and "work" of the system is extremely easy to use, and now allows for a highly flexible timing, which is great for our customers. The time we had to contact customer services once during the busy Xmas period, but our query was dealt with quickly, professionally, and most importantly Personally! As the same person was in charge of emailing us and answering our questions, and no automated systems were used. The only thing I could say is that it would be good to edit a messages time to send, and the content of the message after we click send, as if we make a mistake we have to delete the message all together and start again. But what company doesn't have room for improvement!? I would definately reccomend Txt Local to a friend. We don't even use all the services that Txt Local offers, and still reap great reward from it. Our business prospers greatly with it's use.

Very simple to set up. Easy to use for single text message or mass messaging. Resend or reuse previous messages a the touch of a button. Typing on keyboard is much quicker, easier and more accurate than keying on a mobile phone. Costs less per message than a mobile phone too. Send from a non-return number (no reply allowed) or have a reply directed to a defined mobile number. Easy setup of template messages with instant insert of personalization or key words. A fantastic service - I don't know why you'd want to use any other.

We use text local to contact our customers prior to appointments, since then we have noticed that our number of 'no shows' has decreased and our customers prefer this method to a voice call. The site is very user friendly and easy to get on with. We have not come across any problems with the system and are extremely happy and will continue to use it. The credits are cheap and the free trial was excellent as we got to play with the site to fully understand the outlay before we purchased any credits. We rang the help line to ask advice before we set it up and the advisor gave us all the information we needed and we didn't feel like we were being pushed into making a decision on the phone.

This website was just what i required for my aunt, as we needed to be able to send us text messages while we were abroad as there is no phone reception where she stays. We have tried a lot of companies over the years with regards to buying bulk SMS. Our last provider offered a good service and interface but we found the messages were taking a while to be delivered. We work in the horse racing industry so it is vital news reaches clients fast. I registered for Txtlocal and sent a trial message that got delivered literally a second after I hit send! The best thing is they always seem to get delivered that fast. We like the fact that we can either import or add single numbers to a group - this is something else other providers don't offer as standard. However one of the main features we love is the fact that we can import additional data and then quote it in our messages - for example a greeting or someone's client code. I am also really excited to try the new MMS service they are offering. I used txt local after finding them on my business forum www.ukbusinessforums.co.uk. After visiting their website it was clear I would be investing some money in Txt Local. They make things super easy, no joining fee's, no contract, just a short form and you up and running. Before you even purchase credits you have 10 free to get you off the ground. It's nice to use this to text the service and send them to yourself to see how a customer would experience the product/service. My Top Two Key Points Of This Service Would Have To Be; * You can prepare a text campaign for the future, choosing a date and exact time you want the text's to go out. This saves a lot of times as many businesses are generally more busy around the end of the month. So for me I can plan a text out to go out at the end of the month - A great key feature. * PayPal - Being a small business we use PayPal as our payment option for customers, so we can use our PayPal account to purchase credits in advance and then use them when we wish as they never go out of date! I would advise anyone to give Txt Local a go....

Their API, which enables software tools to embed sending SMSs on-line, is easy to implement and reliably performs the task. I use the SMS for individual texting because I loathe mobile phone "keyboards" and predictive texting and much prefer to type on a keyboard. We found the "simple reply service" particularly useful when we went on a cruise. Without it sending and receiving texts through the maritime service on ship would have been ridiculously expensive.

Txtlocal, www.txtlocal.com provides great service. All Driving Schools lose a great deal of money through last minute cancellations and my school, Strictly Driving in Brighton was no exception. A sample code provided by txtlocal helped me to produce a web page that automatically generates text reminders for my customers. It has resulted in fewer last minute cancellations and less revenue lost. I have only been using the service for a little over 4 weeks and already Txtlocal has avoided the loss of more than £150 of revenue and the cost has not yet exceeded £5. Customers love getting a reminders by text. I wish I had thought about using Txtlocal years ago.

We are the South Cancer Help Centre and txtlocal provides great value for money which is especially important to us as we are a local charity providing support for cancer patients and their carers. We rely entirely on donations for our funding. SMS messaging helps us keep in touch with our clients and also reminds them of appointments which many of them forget because of their illness and treatment. We use the simple email interface which is reliable and very easy to setup.

We're the supporters club of our local ice hockey team. We use Txtlocal as the SMS gateway for text voting for Man of the Match awards. I've written a PHP mobile web app that works with the Txtlocal API. The spectators vote by text and one of the supporters club's members gets texted back with the opportunity to present the awards to the players at the end of the match. I've worked with several SMS companies in the past and none of them can touch Txtlocal in terms of ease-of-use and reliability. I would recommend Txtlocal to anyone.

I need a simple service to forward email alerts to SMS recipients. Txtlocal was a cheap and effective provider of this service. I've had one SMS that didn't arrive, but I guess that could be the fault of the mobile carrier. I found the web site not that great, but managed to do what I needed to do by looking at the online help. There is a good selection of features, but these could be presented better. They have a useful free trial, which meant I could test the service straight away. I have recommended them to others and am happy with my choice.

I like the fact that their service is very reliable and easy to use. I own a website and i use txtlocal's sms gateway API, i must say it was very easy to integrate it into my website even though i had little knowledge about PHP and Html... The SMS is fast and i also love the fact that the messages are sent in my website's name. i couldn't make this happen when i was dealing with a previous sms providers, i had to go through a whole lot of paper works and procedures in the name of verification.., but with txtlocal, no questions were ask. The fee is also moderate so i will recommend to anyone who needs sms service for their business or personal use.

We needed a method to send texts from a network monitoring system. Initially we looked at buying our own sms modem etc but after visiting txtlocal.com we found this a much cheaper and more stable alternative. The website is clear and easy to use. The account was created in a few minutes and with the help of the excellent code examples we had texts flowing from our system within 30 mins. The 10 free texts is a nice touch and is more than enough for testing. Next stage is to use the email gateway for our marketing campaigns We would recommend this to anyone who needs stable, inexspensive text services

At Calls Matter we take urgent calls for different businesses. We deliver the details to companies via SMS or email. It is extremely important for us that we can rely on our SMS provider because the calls we are taking need to be actioned ASAP. We have never had any issues with txtlocal. hardly ever use a mobile, and I've never done much texting because I hate using a phone handset to type the messages. I tried TxtLocal because I'm a Crew Manager on a heritage railway, and we now have several volunteers who use their mobiles as their primary (or even sole) method of contact. It's GREAT to be able to type messages to them just as if I'm sending them e-mails, and it means I can keep in touch so much more easily than before. I would recommend this service to anyone, especially those who, like me, prefer to use their PC keyboard and all their fingers when typing messages!

TicketSource has been using Txtlocal's SMS API facility to deliver mobile tickets to customers since 2009 and is currently introducing MMS mobile tickets complete with scannable barcode using their MMS API solution. Service reliability is a key factor in our choice of SMS/MMS delivery facilitator and in our time with Txtlocal, the level of service has been exemplary. The API was easy to incorporate in to the TicketSource web site with lots of helpful examples available for a variety of programming languages on the Txtlocal web site, and on the few occasions where it's been required technical support from the Txtlocal team has been responsive and knowledgeable.

Now with TXTlocal, we can keep our customers informed of important upgrades, changes and information very easily, quickly and at a real cost effective rate. Txtlocal must be one of the most comprehensive SMS gateways i have seen and not only that- they are the cheapest! As a developer i use the gateway for various companies with different platforms, .net, php, ajax.. etc. Its just a few simple lines of code and results are instant. The only thing that is missing in txtlocal are instant widgets! copy and paste code, embed directly into blogs, websites and let everybody stay in contact.

A while ago, I was looking for a great text messaging service to communicate from some software I was writing to my mobile phone in a very quick and inexpensive way. Text messaging fit the bill precisely. I'm writing is a real-time trading application, and if it tells the service provider to buy or sell something and it doesn't happen quickly, I need to know about it because it could lose me a chunk of money. So I looked around for a solution to this problem, and researched and reviewed many text providers that exist out there today. I quickly realised many of them wouldn't be suitable because they didn't offer the programming functionality I wanted, or wanted to sign me up to expensive contracts that were overkill for my needs - especially as I wanted to evaluate the services without committing myself too much beforehand. Then I found txtlocal on the Internet. I looked at their website (which is very clear and easy-to-understand) and found that it supported the features I was after - namely to send text messages using code within my program. It's all pretty easy to do, and the technical support when I had difficulties was brilliant. The price was great too, and since I wanted to evaluate their service first, I was glad there was no complex and lengthy contract. The website is easy to navigate and every month something new seems to be added. Never had to contact them, but the support through the online system looks great - I've been able to find an answer without having to contact them directly. Their service has been prompt, with any enquiries being answered within an hour or two at most. Been using txtlocal for over a year now, never had an issue with them. Texts always arrive at their destination. Payment is very easy, only takes a moment and the credits are instantly added to our account. Best part would be that they send us reminders by email when we are getting low on credits and so can then top up. Always ensuring we have credits is vital to our business and gives a good service to our customers. Prices are very good, haven't found anywhere cheaper, would advise to anyone who needed this sort of service.

JayBee is a product for patients of diseases such as Motor Neurone Disease, Strokes, Cerebral Palsy etc who have lost the ability to speak. Many patients are disabled, some severely. By combining the speaking capability of JayBee with the ability to send and receive SMS messages such patients can now call for assistance instantly, or stay in contact with their friends anywhere they may be. Working with txtLocal to get the integration working was an absolute pleasure. They were extermely professional, helpful and fast. They even changed the interface to allow us to pick up messages from multiple users. We cannot praise them enough. Excellent.

We have used TxtLocal for over one year now as a core part of our business. I can genuinely say this is one of the best customer service companies I have ever used. The technology works well, the user interface is clear and simple, there are useful developments (eg server upgrades, MMS sending, Simply Reply - all in one year), when we have experienced any issues (minor ones) the response rate and quality from the Technical team was nothing short of astounding ... to be honest we couldn't really ask for more! The only hope we have is an overall reduction in cost of sending SMSs to match the charges experienced in the retail market nowadays. Having said that, TxtLocal are very well priced compared to the other SMS gateway providers, so this is less a point about TxtLocal more about the whole SMS gateway industry hopefully at some stage reflecting the current costs in sending for example retail SMS. Thank you TxtLocal - really - for a faultless service to date!

I've used txtlocal for a number of years and have always found the service to be first class. The delivery is virtually instant and there's never any downtime. Our customers find the sms facility extremely useful as they can bank with us 24/7 without the hassle of making a phone call or logging on to the website, it gives them fast and accurate account information. We also use the inbound MMS facility to allow customers to send us photo ID. Its so much easier for them than scanning documents or finding a fax machine and the quality is so much better. We set everything up using the control panel which is really simple to use.

I have been using txtlocal for over a year and have found their service to be faultless. The website is user friendly and their API is intuitive. I have also had to contact the office a few times regarding questions about the service - they put me through to someone who helped quickly and super efficiently. To make this review 100% honest, the one thing they do not offer is repeat subscription premium texts. In summary what they do offer works perfectly and staff are fantastic.
