With a third of all weekly sales now through the Help-to-Buy scheme, Redrow used text messaging to communicate with existing and potential buyers with the objective to increase sales with the attractive government scheme.

Paul Bradley, Marketing Manager at Redrow said, 'when the Help to Buy scheme launched, we sent a large number of potential leads on our database a text message informing them about the scheme, requesting they get in touch with their local Redrow sales consultant for further details, this proved to be a great success, now with 33% of total sales being on the Help to Buy scheme.'

Textlocal Messenger accounts are operated across 9 different regions with dedicated co-ordinators, who target their own database to increase sales, drive recruitment to open days and stay in contact with customer through the buying process.


The speed and accuracy of text messaging is used to generate quick sales of newly reduced properties, last plots available and cancellations.

To draw interest to individual properties, links to web pages to that particular property are included in the text messages to give the recipient access to all the information they need. These messages are carefully targeted to people who have shown interest in that, or similar properties in that area. This has resulted in enquires being made straight away and deposits being secured on properties within hours.


Using API integration with the Redrow CRM platform, text messages are automatically sent out at specific points during the buying process to alert, inform, remind and even congratulate customers. This method is preferred over telephone calls due to its time and cost saving manner. This ensures that the customer feels looked after during what can be a typically stressful time, when other methods of communication are not successful. By always including an opt-out path on their text messages, Redrow are completely assured that their mobile messaging is operating within regulating guidelines.
